Additional Hilary Duff Biography
Hilary Erhard Duff (born September 28, 1987) is an American actress, pop singer/songwriter and entrepreneur. She has an elder sister, Haylie Duff, who is also an actress/singer.

Duff's early career was marked by playing minor roles, starting off with an uncredited appearance in Hallmark Entertainment's western miniseries True Women in 1997. She also served as an extra, again uncredited, in writer-director Willard Carroll's ensemble dramedy Playing by Heart in 1998. Her first major part was as a star of the 1998 film Casper Meets Wendy, playing the young witch Wendy, who encounters the animated character Casper. Like Casper: A Spirited Beginning (1997), the second sequel to the successful Casper (1995), the film was released direct-to-video with mostly unenthusiastic reviews.

Duff's first serious shot at fame came when she was cast as one of the children in the pilot episode of the NBC sitcom Daddio in 2000. Actor Michael Chiklis, co-star of Daddio stated, "After working with her the first day, I remember saying to my wife, 'This young girl is going to be a movie star'. She was completely at ease with herself and comfortable in her own skin."

The Duff sisters are due to lend their voices to the computer animated comedy Foodfight!, which is to be distributed by Lions Gate Films in 2008. The film's director, Larry Kasanoff, said that he is "absolutely thrilled to have the Duff sisters as part of the cast". Duff is currently slated to star opposite John Cusack in War, Inc., due for release in late 2007. On September 7, 2007, Duff confirmed on Much On Demand, that she would be filming two films from September through October. The films will be called Greta, and Safety Glass.

The first single, "Play with Fire", became a minor club hit but failed to chart in the U.S.; the second single, "With Love", was more successful, becoming Duff's biggest U.S. Hot 100 hit and topping the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. The music video for "With Love" was used as a commercial for Duff's first fragrance, With Love... Hilary Duff, which was launched in September 2006; the video reached number one on Total Request Live. Initially slated for release in late 2006, the album was released in April 2007 in North America and earlier elsewhere. It reached the top five in the U.S. and Canada, the top twenty in Australia and the top forty in the UK. The Dignity tour began in mid 2007. A third single, "Stranger", was a number-one U.S. club hit. Duff is currently recording her next single "Reach Out", which samples Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus". The single is most likely to be in the re-release of the Dignity album which will be released in the CDVU+ format.

Duff launched her clothing line, Stuff by Hilary Duff, in March 2004, with clothes distributed through Target in the United States, Kmart in Australia, Zellers in Canada and Edgars Stores in South Africa. The company, initially started as a clothing line, has expanded its business into furniture, fragrances, and jewelry, targeted at the teen and preteen crowd. In 2007, the internet website Stardoll.com featured Duff's clothing line on the website where players will get the opportunity to dress up any paper doll (which include Hilary Duff's own doll) with the clothes. This will enable them to preview the clothes before purchasing.

Playmates Toys released a celebrity doll of her in 2004. In late 2006, Mattel released a Hilary Duff Barbie doll. The doll was anatomically correct and Duff designed the clothes for the doll herself.

Duff is also involved with various charities, is an animal rights enthusiast and a member of Kids with a Cause. She also donated US$250,000 to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina. In 2005, she donated over 2.5 million meals to Hurricane Katrina victims in the south. In August 2006, Duff traveled to a New Orleans elementary school and worked with USA Harvest to distribute meals.

In 2004, reports emerged that Avril Lavigne and Duff were having a spat. "I read that I was supposedly mad at my fans for dressing like me", Newsweek quoted Lavigne as saying. "They quoted Hilary Duff saying, 'Avril needs to appreciate her fans more and blah, blah, blah.' I'm like, excuse me? First off, it's not even true. I never said that. And second, who the hell cares what she has to say about my fans? Whatever. Hilary Duff's such a goody-goody, such a mommy's girl". Recently, there were reports of drama between the two at a Maxim party in New York. Evidently, a complication in the arrival time of both, caused an unwanted run-in. Lavigne was said to be furious at this, pacing around and pressuring her company to leave.

In August 2005, Duff said she received veneers because she chipped off one of her front teeth on a microphone during a concert. She subsequently had her veneers redone to match the size of her original teeth. By 2005, Duff appeared to have lost weight, leading the media to speculate that she had developed an eating disorder, although Duff denied this claim. Duff was interviewed on the Australian current affair show Today Tonight and stated that she lost weight by leading a more active lifestyle. Later, an article on Digital Spy in 2006, stated that Duff slimmed down to a U.S. size zero because of media reports suggesting she had gained fifteen pounds. She said she has been feeling pressure to be thin, stating that she is perceived in the media to be either too fat or too thin. Duff called this "judgmental" and "mean".

Additional Kim Basinger Biography
Kimila Ann “Kim” Basinger (born December 8, 1953) is an Academy Award-winning American film actress and former fashion model.

Basinger (pronounced (bay-sing-er), often mispronounced (bass-in-jer)) was born in Athens, Georgia. Her father, Don Basinger, was a big band musician and loan manager who landed in Normandy during D-Day. Her mother, Ann, was a model, actress, and swimmer in Esther Williams films. She has two brothers, Mick and Skip, and two sisters, Ashley and Barbara.

When Basinger was sixteen years old, she started her modelling career by winning the Athens Junior Miss contest. She followed that up by winning the title “Junior Miss Georgia”. Basinger then headed to New York City to compete in the national Junior Miss pageant. It was there that Basinger was approached by fashion modeling mogul , who offered the young beauty queen a modeling contract with Ford Modeling Agency. Initially turning down the offer in favor of singing and acting, Basinger reconsidered and headed back to New York to become a Ford model.

Not long after penning the deal, Basinger’s face graced numerous magazine covers and she also appeared in hundreds of ads throughout the early ‘70s, most notably appearing as the Breck shampoo girl. She achieved a top model status by age 20, earning a salary of $1,000 a day. In the meantime, she alternated between modeling work and attending acting classes at the prestigious Neighborhood Playhouse as well as performing in various Greenwich Village clubs.

Basinger was married to makeup artist Ron Snyder-Britton in 1980, whom she met on the film Hard Country, but the marriage ended in divorce in 1988. He would later write a memoir titled Longer than Forever, published in 1998, about their time together and about her rumored affair with actor Richard Gere, with whom she starred in No Mercy (1986) and Final Analysis (1992). She met her second husband actor Alec Baldwin when both played romantic lovers in the flop The Marrying Man (1991). They married on August 19, 1993 and appeared in another flop, the remake of The Getaway (1994). They also played themselves on an 1998 episode of the The Simpsons (which also includes Ron Howard), where Basinger corrects Homer Simpson on the pronunciation of her last name and also polishes her Oscar statutette. They have a daughter, Ireland Eliesse "Addie" Baldwin (born October 23, 1995), but the couple separated in 2000. Divorced in February 2002, Basinger and Baldwin have since been locked in a very public, contentious custody battle.

Basinger suffers from agoraphobia, which is a form of an anxiety disorder, the abnormal fear of experiencing a difficult or embarrassing situation, such as a panic attack, in a public place.

Some of her family members recommended that Basinger buy the small town of Braselton, Georgia in 1989 for $20 million, with the hopes of establishing the town as a tourist attraction with movie studios and a film festival, but she met financial difficulties and sold it in 1993. The town is now owned by developer Wayne Mason. In a 1998 interview with Barbara Walters, Basinger admitted that "nothing good came out of it," because a rift resulted within her family. Her financial difficulties were exacerbated when she pulled out of the controversial film Boxing Helena, the studio sued her and won an $8-million judgment against her at the trial level. Basinger filed for bankruptcy and also appealed the jury's decision to a higher court, which sided with her. Eventually, she and the studio settled for a lesser amount.

Jill Hennessy

0 komentar
Jill Hennessy rocked out after a premiere of her new film, “Roadie,” by performing at Lower East Side dive Parkside Lounge with the movie’s co-writers, Michael and Gerald Cuesta. The trio played Blue öyster Cult covers as well as tunes from Hennessy’s new album. Michael, an exec-producer on Showtime’s “Homeland,” also directed the movie, starring Ron Eldard as a fictional veteran roadie for Blue öyster Cult who’s forced to move back to his mother’s Queens house after being fired. BOC founding member and songwriter Albert Bouchard was spotted cracking up knowingly at the Angelika Film Center screening, where co-star Bobby Cannavale also made the scene.

Jill Hennessy was born in 1968, along with her twin sister, Jacqueline, bringing joy to lovers of attractive brunettes everywhere. Well, eventually, because if you rejoiced when they were babies, then ewwww.

It's perfectly fine to ogle her now. Rowr!
Her first role was in 1988′s Dead Ringers, which is a movie about twin gynecologists, which means you’ve lost me right there. Apparently, it’s quite good, but twin gynecologists. In 1989, she moved on to a television show called The Hitchhiker, which I can only assume was about someone who hitchhiked around America either solving crimes or committing them, with everybody learning a nice little moral lesson at the end. She was in two different episodes under two different names, so possibly two different characters? In 1990, she moved right on along to the role of Hooker on C.B.C.’s Magic Hour. Possibly it was a character whose last name was Hooker, but probably not.

Speaking of hookers, her first role on the Friday the 13th television series (I know! I’d completely forgotten about it too!) was Spanish hooker. I don’t think she’s really Spanish, though. She also played Vampire Woman, Secretary and Lifeguard over the course of 1989 and 1990, because somebody at Friday the 13th either really liked her or didn’t realize they kept hiring the same woman repeatedly. Also, there used to be a War of the Worlds television series, which I had no idea!, and she was in two episodes with two different names again.

Hooo boy, they didn't try very hard with that logo, did they?
A few more TV series here and there and then, boom, catapulted to fame by 1993′s Robocop 3. Ha, no, I’m just kidding. Nobody watched that. But she was in it, if it shows up one of these days and you’re just too lazy to change the station. (Seriously, though, don’t get caught in that situation.) Also in 1993, she was in some German film that I don’t care about (sorry, Germany!).

But most importantly in 1993, Law & Order: The Best One of All!

And then also in 1994, some movie called The Paper, and in 1996, I Shot Andy Warhol (is the name of the film and not a thing I did).

Ooooh, I didn't know it had Lili Taylor in it.
After her stint in Law & Order, she went on to a bunch of movies that I don’t feel like listing, except for Komodo, which I swear one of my other “Whatever happened to…?”s was in too, as Victoria the Shrink. Seriously, there are a lot of them, and I’m not listing them and you can’t make me.

.
In 2001, NBC picked up a show about coroners who solve crimes, and I blame CSI for that. That show was Crossing Jordan, which I only watched a few times, and mostly for Miguel Ferrer and Jerry O’Connell. Also? That show was on for six seasons, so I am feeling even less embarrassed about the few episodes I watched because I thought it was only on for two or three years, so I very definitely did not watch all of them.

Nor even most, nor even many.
Anyway, in 2007, Crossing Jordan bid the world of television adieu, and Jill Hennessy went on to some indie film called Lymelife before taking a two-year hiatus until 2010, which saw The Roadie and Small Town Murder Songs, which actually sounds like it should be a Nick Cave album.

Hell, maybe it is.
Since 2010, I’m not quite sure what she’s been up to, but she did release an album in 2009 and sang at 2010′s Lillith Fair, so let’s just go with “she’s concentrating on her music career.”

Transformers Reunion! Megan Fox and Josh Duhamel'

0 komentar

t's nice to know that Josh Duhamel and Megan Fox can still make nice, even after her big Transformers debacle.

The two reunite in the just-released trailer for the 2012 Academy Awards telecast and they're not the only big-time celebs starring in it.

So which other stars landed gigs in the clip?

READ: First Look at New Academy Awards Poster

In the video, Duhamel and Fox set out on an Indiana Jones-type adventure across the globe in search for "the Host."

"Just bring him to me!" Prison Break actor William Fichtner (who bears a striking resemblance to Oscars' producer Brian Grazer) orders Fox and Duhamel before the two actors set off on a quest to Mongolia.

Tough guy British actor Vinnie Jones cameos as a bartender and Crystal's funnyguy pal Robin Williams plays a Mongol gondolier. "Some say he doesn't want to be found," Williams says. "Others say he died 10 years ago. If you ask me, that's a lot of cuckoo talk...It's obvious, he transformed into a yeti."

When Fox and Duhamel finally find Billy Crystal in a secluded snowy mountain-top hideout, they beg him to come with them by enticing him with—what else?—a gold Oscar statuette.

"You could have just texted," Crystal cracks before flashing a giant smile.
